in 2014, Bruno Misonne participated to an international contest organized by the Maarble project. Maarble Stands for Monitoring, Analyzing and Assessing Radiation Belt Loss and Energyzation. The guidelines were as follows : To use many sounds of space provided by Maarble that could be electronically modified and the music needed to be electroacoustic.
Misonne decided not to modify any original sounds ; His "Solar storm" composition contains elements of hail, windgusts, lightning strikes and bird-like noises but in fact, all these sounds perhaps sound very similar to the real thing, while they are the original sounds of space.
The composition is in 3 parts : Before the storm - during the storm - after the storm. He ended up tenth in this contest.
